Art In A Can.

There’s something about street art that can really work. Maybe it’s the mishmash of colours and movement or that many artists exhibit all at once. Maybe it’s the chaos of it, or its under-groundness. Or that you’re not expecting it around that corner. These shots were taken in Hosier Lane, Melbourne last weekend.  Artists unknown.

48 Hours in Hong Kong

It always amazes and slightly freaks me out that you can jump inside a big metal tube with wings, and less than a day later…..whammo! you’re inserted into a completely different culture somewhere else in the world. This week I emerged from a metal chrysalis to buzz around Shanghai and Hong Kong, a quick trip that’s left my eyes full of amazing images, my nose slightly crinkled and my mouth already missing that perfect balance of sweet, salty, hot.

Below are some pictures from my 48 hours in Hong Kong…….popping colours, edgy fashion and architecture, bling, bags, deft hands making dumplings, plastic stools, offerings outside shops selling plastic cats and real ones, two handed card delivery, lights lights lights, fresh food markets jammed in behind glitzy retail showrooms, slippery floors, heavy doors, selfie sticks galore, crazy chef robbie and a cool wind blowing across the harbour as locals start their days with tai chi and slow jogs dressed in skirts.
